Where To Buy A Fitbit Ionic
The Ionic's cross-platform support of both iPhones and Android phones also allows it to be something I could wear and use with any friend or family member to compete in fitness challenges. Fitbit's app is still my current favorite for overall fitness logging. Its charts and goals are clearly presented, there are tons of tools and connected apps it works with, and Fitbit's social network is probably the best around: it taps into fitness challenges, groups interested in particular health goals, and odds are you have plenty of friends to connect with. The Apple Watch's social fitness functions are slowly growing, but nowhere near as vibrant.

This recall only involves the Fitbit Ionic Smartwatch. It was sold with a polyurethane band and has a 1.4-inch color LCD screen. The watches were sold in slate blue/burnt orange, charcoal/smoke gray, blue gray/silver gray, and a special edition co-branded with Adidas in ink blue/silver gray. The smartwatch tracks activity, heart rate, and sleep. Only the following models and colors are included in this recall. For the Ionic device, the model number (FB503) is on the back of the device near where the band attaches. Fitbit is printed on the front of the Ionic Smartwatch.
Another area where the Ionic succeeded was with its sleep tracking. The device uses the PurePulse heart rate monitor to track the details of your sleep. You'll be able to view time spent in light, deep, and REM sleep stages. You can even set sleep goals and receive a recommended sleep schedule to help you achieve them.
I tracked my sleep for about a month using the Ionic and found it to be reasonably accurate. The Ionic was usually able to detect when I fell asleep and woke up within a 15-minute window. It was also fairly accurate in recording instances where I got up in the middle of the night.
A warm welcome to the Community @chrisschri. Currently, we don't have a Fitbit.com store for Taiwan. However, you can check the list of authorized retailers in Taiwan where you can buy your Fitbit tracker.
I want to inform you that currently this specific device is under recall. For more information about our voluntary Safety Recall of Fitbit Ionic Smartwatches, please visit our webpage at help.fitbit.com/ionic I am going to close this thread to keep the Community organized.
The watch is 38.6mm wide, but the 349 x 250, color, LCD touch-screen display takes up just 29.7mm of that width. The rest is black bezel, which is thicker on the chin where Fitbit put its logo. The actual display should be much larger, and the bezels on all sides should be significantly thinner.
You install apps on the Ionic by browsing the App Gallery in the Fitbit app for iOS and Android. This is also where you customize settings and make changes in your installed apps, such as adding a city to the Weather app or adding your Starbucks card for buying a latte right from your wrist.
I tried bu contacting a service person last night. Unfortunately I found out something was also wrong with my lock feature as well. Nothing was resolved and my fitbit ionic is still doing the same thing, will not set up om wifi or synch.
I not too long ago got off of the phone with customer service. Was a really simple solution. I went to settings on my ionic and scrolled down to shutdown. Once it restarted everything was working just fine. Its just like your phone needs to be turned off and on sometimes. From reading a lot of these issues with the fitbit I was thinking I had to get it replaced. I had done that before once it stopped synching. So now before I try to trouble shootbI will just shut it down.
Found this post while trying to attempt to make this ionic work... Have had for almost a year. when I first purchased it was totally stupid process to upload music, total design fail!!!!!! Why have a nice device that totally sucks at the support end... why did you make no music icon on your dumbass dashboard??? and so **ahem**ing complicated to connect too... every other **ahem**ing thing will connect to my wifi except this **ahem** ionic!!!!!! your resolution steps do not work.... fix your dashboard// fix your dumbass watch!!!! now going out to buy a apple series 4 watch that actually works, connects and I'm able to manage my music with hours and hours of nothing that works.......
Hello @Djolson1984 and welcome to the Community. Fitbit is correct when they told you that the Ionic was discontinued. The actual Ionic replacement was the original Versa, also discontinued. I know of many instances in electronics where a later model was less expensive than the original. I think that Fitbit offered the best alternative to a discontinued item under warranty.
As for every electronic device where the technology gets better and cheaper, future products are also having a lower price tag, with a better technology. Take as an example cell phones and tv. The more advance they get, the better the technology the more affordable they get.
I would really love it if Fitbit could send me a fixed version of it, or a different Fitbit device that was equivalently worth from the pocket I spent. I just don't know to this point of where I should turn to for advice about this.I tried to look into Amazon's policy but everything about it seemed like my purchase for the Fitbit Ionic is out of their policy. Unless there's something the Fitbit Community can help me with which I probably missed and could still return it or exchange it, I would love it hear it!
Fitbit (stylized as fitbit) is an American consumer electronics and fitness company. It produces wireless-enabled wearable technology, physical fitness monitors and activity trackers such as smartwatches, pedometers and monitors for heart rate, quality of sleep and stairs climbed as well as related software. The company was acquired by Google in January 2021.[3]
In 2014, Fitbit began offering activity trackers, along with a website and a mobile app for iOS, Android and Windows 10 Mobile[35] This allows the trackers to sync to devices such as mobile phones via Bluetooth, or to a Bluetooth-equipped computer running Windows or MacOS.[35] Users have the ability to log their food, activities, and weight, to track over time and set daily and weekly goals for themselves for steps, calories burned and consumed, and distance walked. The app also offers a community page where users can challenge themselves and compete against other users.[36] The social element anticipates an increase in motivation, and finds that users take an average of 700 more steps per day when they have friends on the app.[36] Users can also choose to share their progress pictures and achievement badges.
The home screen will constantly display the date and time. To display the steps, bpm, and calories burned, all that has to be done is touch anywhere on the screen and automatically the amount of steps will be displayed. Touch the screen again and the heart rate monitor pops up, and finally if touched three times, the Ionic will display how many calories have been burned for the day.
Some of the clock faces make it where the screen does not have to be manually touched to display the number of steps for the day but keeps a running total of the number of steps taken on the face. Other faces are digitally focused displaying the time in a number of different ways, or analog focused displaying the time as if you were to see it on an actual wristwatch.
Fitbit also offers a display what they like to call Fitbit Labs where the home display includes a dog or a cat. A good portion of these different Fitbit faces are free, while others can cost around $1.29 to be able use.
The Ionic can connect to Bluetooth headphones or speakers, and through the music app a person can choose what they want to listen to while either working out or just relaxing. Fitbit has made it where a user can either transfer songs to the watch (from a computer and not a phone) or download playlists from Pandora or Deezer.
The timer app has the capability to be a stopwatch and count up for any amount of time, or it also has the capability to be a countdown watch where the user can set the time by swiping the screen down.
To view the receipt, simply go to the Fitbit app on your phone and pull up the wallet app. It will show the total amount, however, you can not view the receipt like a full receipt, nor can you send the receipt anywhere. 041b061a72
